Day 1:

The transfer from the airport or terminal to your respective hotel is made.

At 3 pm the City Tour on Foot will begin from the Plaza de Armas of Arequipa where you will receive a detailed explanation of the history of the Cathedral and the portals of Arequipa. Later we go to the Church of the Company of Jesus where you will receive a brief explanation about the history of the church and its construction. Next we will stop at the Cloisters of the Company of Jesus, at the Tristán del Pozo House and the San Francisco Plaza and Church, where you can take pictures with these buildings that symbolize the history of Arequipa. Finally we will go to the most representative neighborhood of Arequipa, the Barrio de San Lázaro.

Then the transfer to the hotel for your overnight in Arequipa.

Day 2:

Breakfast at the hotel

Then the City Tour Campiña will take place. We board at the Plaza de Armas of Arequipa located in the Cercado. The first point that we will visit will be the Plaza de Yanahuara, where we will be able to appreciate the church and plaza, as well as observe the viewpoint that is made up of a set of beautiful ashlar arches built during the 19th century, through which we can appreciate the 3 volcanoes of Arequipa and the recorded writings of phrases of illustrious Arequipa.

After this visit we will go to the Carmen Alto observatory, where we will be able to appreciate in a panoramic way the 3 tutelary volcanoes of our city: El Chachani, Pichu Pichu and El Misti, the latter the best known for its imposing shape and being the only one currently asset. Here we will also be able to appreciate the beautiful countryside of Cayma and learn the history of the observatory that was used by Harvard University.

Then we will go to the Inca Alpaca mini zoo, where we will be able to appreciate the South American camelids and buy clothes made from the fibers of the fur of these animals.

In the aforementioned gastronomic hours, we will make a 1-hour stop for lunch at the prestigious Calicanto picantería, where we can taste different typical dishes characteristic of our Arequipa region.

Then we will go to the Mansion of the founder that is located in the Hunter district, here we will be able to appreciate different works of art and furniture that date from the 16th century, we will also observe the characteristic architecture of Arequipa and the beautiful landscapes that this mansion offers us.

The next point of visit is the Sabandía mill. In this traditional district we have different activities at the passenger’s choice: we can do a horseback ride, canopy, ATV ride or enter the mill museum. We can carry out a maximum of 2 activities of those already mentioned.

In the afternoon you can freely explore the city. Overnight in Arequipa.

Day 3:

In the morning breakfast at the hotel. This day we will go to the Salinas Lagoon located at a distance of 120 km from the city of Arequipa and approximately 4 hours away. Leaving the city of Arequipa behind in 45 minutes, we arrive at the traditional district of Chiguata where we will begin our experience at the viewpoint of the volcanoes along with its Pre-Inca Chiguata countryside and terraces. Continuing with the tour we arrive at the town of Chiguata where we will appreciate the Church of the Holy Spirit. Later we arrive at the Salinas Lagoon where we will stay for 1 hour and 30 minutes making different stops to observe flamingos – Parihuanas, water mirrors (by season), sighting of vicuñas, llamas and alpacas all year round. In the dry season we will visit the salt extraction centers where perspective photos can be taken.

Leaving the Salinas lagoon behind, we headed to the thermal waters and mini volcano of Logen to enjoy a relaxing bath, later we headed to the Uzuña dam where we can take a boat or kayak ride before our lunch, from where we will start our return to the city of Arequipa arriving at approximately 5:00 pm, our landing being 3 blocks from the main square.

In the afternoon you will be given a free afternoon so that you can make necessary purchases or walk through the city of Arequipa. Overnight in Arequipa.

Day 4:

At approximately 6 am breakfast at the hotel. On this day we will do the Pillones Waterfall Tour, which is a fantastic waterfall, located in the highest areas of Arequipa (exceeding 4 thousand meters). We will leave at 6:45 am, where after a trip of approximately 2 hours we will be arriving at the starting point of the walk. Due to the height, it is recommended to wear warm clothing. We will begin the somewhat difficult 30-minute walk downhill, as we will go down a rocky slope and along the side of a river before reaching the waterfall.

Next we will arrive at the Pillones waterfall, where we will be able to take wonderful photographic shots and appreciate the surroundings. We will remain in the place an average of 45 minutes.

On the return we will make a stop at the Imata Stone Forest, a place that has been shaped by nature itself over the years. Full of rock formations that extend throughout the forest, columns full of magic and charm. Without a doubt, it offers a unique and incomparable landscape.

Then you will be able to have lunch in the city of Imata, where we will stay for an average of 50 minutes, enough time for you to also get to know the local square. We begin the return journey to the city of Arequipa.

In the afternoon you will be given a free afternoon so that you can make necessary purchases or walk through the city of Arequipa. Overnight in Arequipa.

Day 5:

In the morning, I have breakfast at the hotel and then we leave in the direction of Chivay. After 3 hours of travel we will arrive at the town of Chivay where we will taste a delicious local lunch. During the afternoon we can enjoy a relaxing bath in the Chacapi Yanque Hot Springs whose waters range between 35º C to 40º C in temperature. Then we will go to Cabanaconde and we will settle in our respective hotels. Overnight in Cabanaconde.

Day 6:

In the morning, breakfast at the hotel to later move to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, an observation point of the Colca Canyon and, if possible, appreciate the spectacular flight of the Condor. At this point we will have an average of 1 hour to observe the beauty of the valley. On the way back we will stop for our lunch in Yanque. At approximately 1:00 pm we begin our way back to the city of Arequipa. The transfer from your hotel to the airport or terminal is made.
