Mystic colca

We pick you up from your respective hotels (inside the historic center), then we start our journey to Colca passing through the slopes of Chachani, Pampa de Arrieros, Pampa Cañahuas, Aguada Blanca National Reserve where we will appreciate vicuñas, Vizcachani, Pampa de Tocra and Mirador de los Andes, descent to the main town of Chivay, capital of the province of Caylloma.

Lunch in the beautiful Villa of Yanque, likewise you will enter the hot springs of Chacapi, located in the same town, you will leave for Cabanaconde, visiting the towns of Maca, Achoma, Pinchollo and having a magnificent view of the valley of the Colca. Upon arrival in Cabanaconde we will be able to visit the viewpoints near the town and we will settle in the hotel.

The next day we will have an early breakfast (continental or buffet according to the chosen hotel), we leave in the direction of the tourist viewpoint of the Cruz del Cóndor, but not before passing through the museum of the Mummy Juanita located in the pampa of San Miguel. We return to Chivay for lunch, visiting the towns of Yanque, Maca, Choquetico Viewpoints, Antahuilque, Pre-Inca Cemetery (Hanging Tombs), the litomaquette, the Pre-Inca terrace and irrigation system. Finally, it leaves for Arequipa, arriving at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Normally it is recommended to stay one or two days in the city of Arequipa to acclimatize and thus be able to avoid altitude sickness when going to the Colca Valley; It is also recommended to drink the traditional coca mate or the Inca mate, also if you want to take a pill, the most recommended is the “Sorojchi Pills”, it must be taken 30 minutes before starting the trip and you can buy at any pharmacy. It should be noted that if you are allergic to any medication, it is better to consult a doctor before taking the pill.
