City tour Arequipa countryside in mirabus

Departure from the office 15 minutes before the departure time together with the guide, we board at the Tourist bus stop on Zela street next to the Monastery of Santa Catalina.

The first point we will visit will be the Yanahuara square, where we will be able to appreciate the church and square, as well as observe the viewpoint that is made up of a set of beautiful ashlar arches built during the 19th century, through which we can appreciate the 3 volcanoes of Arequipa and the recorded writings of phrases from illustrious Arequipa.

After this visit we will go to the Carmen Alto observatory, where we will be able to appreciate in a panoramic way the 3 tutelary volcanoes of our city: El Chachani, Pichu Pichu and El Misti, the latter the best known for its imposing shape and being the only one currently active. Here we can also appreciate the beautiful countryside of Cayma and learn the history of the observatory that was used by Harvard University.

Then we will go to the Inca Alpaca mini-zoo, where we will be able to appreciate the South American camelids and buy garments made from the fibers of the fur of these animals.

During the aforementioned gastronomic hours, we will make a 1-hour stop for lunch at the prestigious Calicanto picantería, where we can taste different typical dishes characteristic of our Arequipa region.

Then we will go to the Mansion of the founder that is located in the Hunter district, here we will be able to appreciate different works of art and furniture that date from the 16th century, we will also observe the characteristic architecture of Arequipa and the beautiful landscapes that it offers us this mansion.

The next point to visit is the Sabandia mill. In this traditional district we have different activities at the passenger’s choice: we can do a horseback ride, canopy, ATV ride or enter the mill museum. We can carry out a maximum of 2 activities of those already mentioned.

Finally we will go to the Menelik bull museum, where we will be able to learn about traditional bullfights, the care of these animals and the great history of the great Menelik bull.
